What Is Light Burn?
Light burn happens when the light source is too close or intense for the leaves “burning” the chlorophyll buds away, rendering the leaf useless.
This is also one of the reasons why you see the leaf turn white.

Today we decided to finally cover Light Burn issues on Cannabis. This issue can occur pretty easily if your leaves are too saturated in light.
This issue can easily be confused with others, such as Nitrogen Deficiency, since the symptoms are pretty similar. But don’t worry, we’ll give you all the details needed 😉
Light burn happens when the light source is too close or intense for the leaves “burning” the chlorophyll buds away, rendering the leaf useless.
This is also one of the reasons why you see the leaf turn white.
As most ways of spotting deficiencies with Cannabis the symptoms show on the leaves.
In this case you’ll see the leaves the most exposed to the light start to turn yellow, then white before dying out. Generally it will show at the top of the plant but not necessarily, it’s really of question of light exposure.

Generally the main reason for light burn is linked to the fact that the light source is way too close to the tip of the plants.
This means that the fix is simple, bring your lights up further from the top of your plants. If you can’t do so try to reduce the intensity of the light by switching to a lower intensity light bulb.
