I’ve probably made this recipe over 100 hundred times, so it’s definitely tried and tested! It’s so easy to make and it’s been so popular with friends over the years, it’s my go-to cake, whether it’s for first time or experienced users.
This super buttery chocolate cake melts into your mouth, its strong chocolaty taste covers well the weed taste without completely overtaking it. It’s perfect to really be able to taste the strain you’re cooking with but still have that delicious chocolate cake taste.
Great for novice cookers or experienced chefs, this weed cake takes under 45mins to make and the recipe is super straightforward so don’t worry if you’re not used to baking. Cooking a space cake isn’t that much different from cooking a normal cake, so we made sure we picked a recipe that was accessible to everyone.
This recipe uses cannabutter, also known as marrakesh butter, it’s basically cannabis infused butter. It’s pretty easy to make all you need is cannabis or leftover leaves from your harvest and butter! Check out our cannabutter recipe here.

Hope you enjoy it !
Be careful, space cakes take longer to kick in than smoking! Your body has to digest and process it, like it would for normal food, so depending on your size, digestive speed and other factors, it can take a while (count 20mins to an hour).
Although it’s not a good idea to eat space cake on an empty stomach, don’t have it after a three course meal either! The more you ate before the space cake, the longer it’s going to take for your body to process it
That really depends on how you dose it! Dosing your cannabutter is tricky; it depends on multiple factors, such as how strong the strain you’re using is, how much you’re mixing in with the butter and how long you’re cooking it for! Check out our recipe here.
If you don’t dose it much it will only last an hour or two, if you really go for it the effects can last for up to 12 hours.
Remember it takes a while to kick in also, so start out with one piece before you wolf down the whole cake.
Eating a space cake will get you high, but not exactly the same way that smoking does. When you’re eating cannabis, THC will go directly into your bloodstream and so you’ll get much higher but it will probably be a much more physical high. Some people report feeling dizzy, others laughing uncontrollably with their friends.
Remember cannabis effects are very personal, everyone reacts differently so if you’re worried don’t hesitate to do research before and take it slow when you’re eating it.
